‘A Simple Favor 2’ Director Addresses Blake Lively, Anna Kendrick Feud Rumors Delaying Release

A Simple Favor’s sequel, Another Simple Favor, is quickly approaching, and the upcoming film dropped a brand-new trailer ahead of its March 7 premiere at South by Southwest (SXSW) film and TV festival.
In the Feb. 26 trailer, Anna’s character, Stephanie Smothers, is interrupted at a reading of a novel she seemingly wrote, The Faceless Blonde, by Blake’s Emily Nelson.
“I think about her all the time, the faceless blonde I thought I knew,” Stephanie reads as Blake’s Emily walks in. “Was she a glamorous PR executive? Or a cold-blooded killer?”
Blake’s character, wearing one of her signature campy menswear looks, smiles and says, “Boo.”
To which Anna’s character responds, “Did you break out of prison?”
Then, Blake’s Emily eerily whispers into the microphone, “Will you be my maid of honor?”
Naturally, the chaos ensues from there, with Stephanie seemingly agreeing to the task and joining Emily at her wedding in Italy.
