Face Off! Gervonta Davis Vs. Lamont Roach Staredown Video Turns Super Secretive – ‘Be Ready’

The current World Boxing Association (WBA) Lightweight champion Gervonta Davis and WBA super-featherweight title champion Lamont Roach met face-to-face earlier today (Thurs., Feb. 27, 2025) in Brooklyn, New York, at the conclusion of their final press conference (video replay here).

While the face off started out tense, things got secretive as they turned to face the crowd.

Clip-on microphones caught “Tank” telling Roach to “be ready.” Roach immediately responded, “You know that; you don’t even have to ask me. Are you ready?”

The two knockout artists still jawed at each other but then strangely started to whisper in each other ears.

Check out their staredown below:

WTF were they whispering?

Was it simply, “I’m going to knock you out this weekend?” Or was Davis reminding his opponent that he has already beat him twice when they were amateur boxers?

Maybe “Tank” informed Roach that Daredevil: Born Again comes out next week.

Nevertheless, the two boxing champions will collide this weekend inside Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, live on Prime Video for a price of $79.95.

Don’t miss it.
