The 2025 SAG Awards have come and gone, so there’s only one thing to do: take a look back at the night’s buzziest moments.

Kristen Bell hosted this year’s ceremony live from Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall, where members of the Los Angeles Fire Department joined Hollywood’s biggest stars to celebrate as Demi Moore, Timothée Chalamet and Shōgun won big.

The ceremony opened with Mikey Madison, Bowen Yang and Jessica Williams giving the SAG Awards’ famous “I am an actor” speech, and of course featured several hilarious moments, including a Challengers moment from Ted Danson, William Jackson Harper and Bell, a Gossip Girl reunion for the host and Leighton Meester and a few teleprompter flubs from Chalamet and Yuriy Borisov.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus took to the stage to present Jane Fonda with the 2025 SAG Life Achievement Award — after which Fonda, 87, delivered an impassioned speech about her life’s work and a call to action for the room — which Jennifer Aniston and Bradley Cooper. presented to Barbra Streisand in 2024.

Here’s a play-by-play of what went down off-camera at this year’s SAG Awards.

The night started with several star-studded run-ins on the red carpet. Ariana Grande and SAG-AFTRA president Fran Drescher had a moment together before they posed for photos together; Moore caught up with Fonda in between stops on the busy carpet and Harrison Ford and Cynthia Erivo held each other’s hands as they said hello.

Inside the show, Chalamet, 29, who won for A Complete Unknown, was joined by his mom Nicole Flender as his date. The actor has been frequently bringing his girlfriend Kylie Jenner as his date throughout the awards season, but Jenner, 27, was not in attendance.

It was date night, though, for Grande, who posed for a sweet shot and held hands with her Wicked costar and boyfriend Ethan Slater. After the show ended, they ran off — literally — from the gala, once again hand-in-hand.

The night was not long for Jeremy Strong, as he exited the show swiftly after his category was announced — and he did not win. He was nominated for outstanding performance by a male actor in a supporting role for his role in The Apprentice, but was beat out by Kieran Culkin for A Real Pain. Culkin’s acceptance speech went on to be a hilarious ramble as he counted down his limited time with the clock.

As the stars mingled in between awards and during commercial breaks, Jamie Lee Curtis had a fun reunion with her costars from The Bear, Jeremy Allen White and Ebon Moss-Bachrach and later navigated her way through the tables hand-in-hand with Liza Colón-Zayas.

Backstage, several winners mingled too. Colin Farrell and Jessica Gunning had a sweet moment together as they shared a hug and posed for a photo.

Selena Gomez, who was on hand to represent Only Murders in the Building, which won the award for ensemble cast in a comedy series, was particularly excited backstage after getting her trophy — as were her costars Molly Shannon, Richard Kind and Kumail Nanjiani.

When Gomez, 32, walked back into the room after claiming her award, she stopped to say a quick hello and give a hug to Grande.

As the show wrapped up, some major stars gathered backstage to get their awards engraved and prompted some other fun run-ins. Chalamet, who accepted the award for best actor for his lead role in the Bob Dylan biopic, caught up with Conclave stars Ralph Fiennes and John Lithgow — both of whom were fresh off their own win for best movie ensemble cast.

Fiennes approached Chalamet as he waited for his award to be engraved, giving him an embrace and making him laugh before they posed for a photo together. Lithgow saw him next and prompted Chalamet’s mom to pull out her phone and snap some photos of the moment.
