Kieran Culkin is a winner!
The 42-year-old actor won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for his role in A Real Pain at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday (February 23) at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
While up on stage, Kieran spent almost his entire acceptance speech hilariously rambling about how “incredibly heavy” the SAG statue is.
Keep reading to find out more…Kieran joked that it was “funny” how his “heaviest of all awards is the one given by actors,” before reminding Adrien Brody of the 45-second “allotted time” for acceptance speeches.
“There was no reason to take that shot; I love you, it’s a joke. You take your time,” Kieran said as Adrien laughed from his seat in the audience. “Lord knows I will, ’cause I didn’t think of anything.”
After continuing to ramble, Kieran said that the award “means a lot” and “is a huge honor,” before joking, “I haven’t said anything.”
Then in record speed, Kieran went on to thank A Real Pain’s writer/director/star Jesse Eisenberg, his wife and kids, and more.
The SAG Awards are streaming live on Netflix for the second year in a row. This also marks Kristen Bell‘s second time as host after previously serving as the emcee in 2018.
