Millie Bobby Brown is reflecting on what nearly a year of marriage to husband Jake Bongiovi has taught her.
May marks one year since the pair got married. While walking the red carpet for her new Netflix film, The Electric State, at The Egyptian theater in Los Angeles on Monday, Feb. 24, Brown stopped to speak with Entertainment Tonight about what the last year has meant to her.
“I think it’s just taught me how grateful you should be, to enjoy connection and love and friendship,” the actress, who turned 21 earlier this month, said.

The Stranger Things star explained how her marriage to Bongiovi, 22, has flown by, and taught her to cherish every moment.
“I’ve had, you know, such a joy being able to be married for a year already. It’s felt like two seconds,” she continued. “I feel like it’s blinked … so I think just cherish and hold on to all the amazing moments you get to experience with your loved ones.”
Brown looked stunning at the event with her blonde locks pulled up into a chic bun. She accessorized her look with diamond earrings that matched her diamond ring, and wore a sparkly, silver and gold floor-length gown. Her dress featured an over-the-shoulder, short-sleeve cover that had similar detailing.
That night, Bongiovi walked alongside his wife in a black and white tuxedo with a black bow tie.

Just over a year after announcing their engagement, the couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in front of family and friends in May 2024, before having a second, more lavish celebration in Italy.

Brown spoke with Vanity Fair for their March 2025 cover story about her new life as a married woman, and revealed that she and Bongiovi are already talking about starting a family together.
“We talked about our political views, what kind of family we want to build, the kind of home we want to live in, the kind of relationship we’re looking for, the kind of careers we want,” she told the outlet. “It’s such an important decision, and we wanted to make sure we were making the right one. I knew I was. It always felt right with him.”
