Nikki Reed Gives a Rare Look at Her and Ian Somerhalder’s Private Life Together (Exclusive)
Nikki Reed is still getting real on farm life.
Over a year after the Twilight actress and her husband Ian Somerhalder—who share a 7-year-old daughter and a 20-month-old son—left Hollywood behind, she shared a rare glimpse into what the family’s life is like these days.
“Working,” Nikki wrote in a Feb. 24 Instagram post alongside a photo of a cowboy hat on a car’s dashboard. “Raising humans. Putting the farm back together. 18 hour days. Taking care of animals after rains, floods and mud like we have never seen before. If I haven’t responded to a call, text or call, forgive me, these days are LONG!”
The 36-year-old’s candid glimpse into her home life comes months after she gave insight into why the family of four relocated to a California farm.
“I can’t personally envision a life without that connection to plants and soil,” Nikki explained to E! News in May. “In this day and age, we’re getting closer and closer to falling into full tech worlds. No matter how hard we try to shelter our kids from that, we’re growing up in the age of tech, and I think the only way to really combat that is through nature.”
