Jenna Elfman Reveals 1 Condition for a Revival

[ad_1]

Fear the Walking Dead vet Jenna Elfman opened up about the possibility of returning for a Dharma & Greg revival, after more than two decades since the hit sitcom ended its five-season run. For her performance as the free-spirited Dharma Montgomery, she won a Golden Globe award in 1999 for Best Actress – Television Series Musical or Comedy.

Elfman is currently starring as a recurring character in ABC’s family sitcom Shifting Gears, which is led by Tim Allen and Kat Dennings. Her first episode airs today, February 26, at 8 p.m. on ABC. She will also next be seen in the upcoming third season of AMC’s psychological thriller series Dark Winds.

What is Jenna Elfman’s condition for a Dharma & Greg revival?

During a recent interview with ComingSoon, when asked if she would be willing to reprise her iconic role as Dharma in a potential revival or reunion of the classic sitcom, Elfman admitted that she’s not really against the idea of revivals. However, she stressed that she would only consider returning if the new show would stay true to the original’s identity.

“Yeah, I’m never against that. It just has to feel as fun and true to what the show was originally. I’ve never been against anything like that,” Elfman said. “But it does have to feel right because to me, it’s so iconic and so wonderful, and it’s in such a place in all of our hearts. It would have to feel along that same wavelength, you know?”

Besides Elfman, Dharma & Greg was also led by Thomas Gibson as Greg Montgomery, an uptight lawyer who grew up from a conservative and traditional Republican family. Created by Dottie Dartland and Chuck Lorre, the series ran on-air from 1997-2002. It centered around two polar opposite individuals, who married each other during their first date. The cast also included Susan Sullivan, Mitchell Ryan, Mimi Kennedy, Alan Rachins, Joe Murray, Yeardley Smith, Kathryn Joosten, and more.
